From the Personal Injury Lawyers at Knowyourrights.com
In a new commercial for Sieben, Grose, Von Holtum and Carey personal injury attorneys, a car slips on a banana peel, skids recklessly and relentlessly up the side of a building, and finally crashes to the ground as we hear the car’s occupant say “ow.”
This spot is part of a new campaign that includes a spaceship spinning, shaking and bouncing an innocent car, a highway billboard bowler accidentally dropping her ball on a car below, and a motorcyclist ensnarled and propelled up a light pole by a strand of particularly sticky pink gum.
Animated by Minneapolis-based Gasket Studios, the commercials are entertaining. But they also have a message: “With over 50 years of personal injury experience, we’ve seen it all.” The TV spots communicate that no matter what injuries you incurred in an accident, the Know Your Rights Attorneys at Sieben, Grose, Von Holtum & Carey know the law and know your rights.
“We needed to take a 180 degree departure from the usual serious lawyer in a suit.” said Tish Reynolds, President of The Reynolds Group, the Minneapolis advertising agency that created the most recent “Know Your Rights” campaign. “So we thought we’d reach out, engage—and yes, even entertain—today’s audience.”
Jim Carey, managing partner, agrees the firm has a big mission: to change how people feel about personal injury lawyers. Jim, along with all the partners and associates, sees the approach as humanizing the firm.
“Lawyers get in accidents, too.” Jim Carey said. “We know there’s nothing funny about being injured in an accident. That said, we wanted to present our message in a fresh, approachable way.”
Founded by Clint Grose and John E. Von Holtum in 1952, the firm has grown to become one of Minnesota’s largest and most widely respected personal injury law firms. They employ experienced lawyers and professional support personnel covering general trial practice in all courts, personal injury, product liability, workers’ compensation, wrongful death, medical malpractice and aviation. The offices are located throughout Minnesota in Minneapolis, Duluth, Fairfax and Lakeville.
The 56 year old Sieben, Grose, Von Holtum and Carey is no stranger to pioneering. Back in the 70’s, it was the first law firm to advertise, as a sponsor of WCCO’s Point of Law radio show.
Meanwhile, this April, television viewers will see, for possibly the first time, a personal injury firm use light-heartedness to communicate its message.
And you thought you’d seen it all.
